Welcome!
Limousine
Eighteen clients, and business partners,
This
spring we had an inspiring week at the Boston
Marathon. We chauffeured some amazing contributors from
all over the world. However, we know that for some people, transportation
isn't always inspiring and it isn't always at the world class
level.
Don't
let getting to the airport or your destination make you feel like you
just ran the marathon. We'll pick you up at your doorstep and pamper
you along the way. And we promise not to squirt you with a
water bottle. "One call does it all." Simply call our reservation line
or visit our website and we'll book your ground transportation for both
ends of your trip. Leave the driving to us locally, nationally and
internationally.
When you travel out of town and Limousine Eighteen
arranges ground transporation for you, it's important to us that
you have a quality experience. Frank Moss, our Affiliates Director,
would like you to email him at Fmoss@limo18.com or call him with
your feedback, comments and suggestions.
To assist you in
your quality experience, here is a “Big Dig” Update. As you may have
heard in the news, there was a tragic accident which may have
been due to design and construction flaws in one of the connector
tunnels to Logan Airport. The tunnel
is now closed and the reopen date has not been announced. This
is severely limiting access to and from Logan Airport. Traffic is being
routed to secondary roads where two or three lanes of traffic
are merging into one. As you can imagine, it’s very slow
going. We encourage you to allow
extra travel time to and from Logan.
We'll
move you to inspiring destinations,
Marc
and Linda

Travel - Trip Reports
Trip Reports by Sean Fallon and Leah Fabrizio
Last edition we
asked: When was the last
time that the administrative staff at your company attended an offsite
seminar on professional development?
This edition we would like to share
two thank you letters from our employees who recently traveled
to a business seminar on behalf of Limousine Eighteen.
Dear Marc and Linda,
When I finished the Frontliners Success Program in Philadelphia you asked me to email comments
about what I learned. I would like to start off by changing my
format from a trip report to a thank you letter.
I haven’t been on a plane for
20 years, so to experience what our customers do every day was
great. Getting off a plane wondering where to meet our chauffeur
only enhanced my response for help when a client can’t find
a driver.
David Benton's presentation was just
awesome. His brainstorming exercises really showed how being
open-minded and using teamwork can solve almost anything.
He really stressed how empowering employees can work wonders.
In closing, I
am indebted to you both for such a great
experience. Hopefully, I will use the things that I learned
both
personally and professionally.
Thank you does not cover
this experience, but I can
somewhat repay you by using what I learned to
help in continuing to make Limousine 18 the best company to work for.
Forever
grateful,
Sean

Spotlight Acton Lincoln Mercury
By
Christine Pinney

Acton
Lincoln Mercury is the #4 buyer nationally of Lincoln Town Cars behind
Hertz®, Budget® and Enterprise
Rent a Car®. Limousine Eighteen purchases many vehicles from them
each year. They have an extraordinarily high level of customer
satisfaction. “They are reliable,
dependable and have a very quality product at reasonable prices,” says
Marc Shpilner. My intention was to interview Coleman Hoyt,
President of Acton Lincoln Mercury (ALM) to find out how they became so
successful. When I reflect back on our conversation, I think he
interviewed me! My goal was
to learn why 100’s of Limousine
companies like Limousine Eighteen choose Acton Lincoln
Mercury. What I didn’t know is that I would literally drive away with
first hand knowledge. Our conversation started in a normal way.
I
asked, What sets this dealership apart?
A: "Exceptional service."
answered Coleman. How do you compare
to other local dealers? A: "We're better."
I smiled. Can you elaborate on that? >A: "We
believe that a well run garage sells a lot of cars."
He
went on to tell me, "I started out as technician, service advisor,
dispatcher
and service manager. I learned the ropes. After that, I had a long
career in
management at Ford Motor Company. My final position at Ford, before
purchasing
ALM in 1989, was as the Lincoln Customer Satisfaction Manager.
Everything that
I do is about superior service."
Then, Coleman turned
the conversation around. He asked what kind of car I drive. A: "Ford Taurus."
I answered. We’d like to
win your business. Is there anything on your car that needs
to be done? >A: "Yes, the driver’s
side door lock is not working." Let us fix it for you.
We’ll give you a loaner today and we’ll take care of everything.
While I was giving
them my information and my keys – I realized that my car also
needed a Mass
State car inspection
and that the windshield had a small chip. They told me that they could
address all of the above. And, they offered to do a safety inspection-no
charge.
When
I came back to pick up my car, I was floored! The car didn’t even look
like mine!
I was surprised to discover that they detailed it too. It was shined
and
polished inside and out. I don’t think it’s ever been so clean. They
also
changed my oil and rotated my tires. When I got
into the car, I noticed the courtesy floor mat on my driver’s side. It
says: MotorCraft Fast Lube (which reminds me about the service I
received), it shows the Acton Lincoln Mercury Logo (which shows me the
brand visually) and in big letters.
We
appreciate your business.
And
when they say that they appreciate my business, they really do! I don’t
need a
winged messenger to tell me, Limousine Eighteen and I will be back.
